About Us & Frequently Asked Questions
About Us
Nooky's Nuts is a family run business oiginally in Essex, but moved to Suffolk in 2023. We have been trading for over 30 years in motorcycle parts.
In 1990 we started selling nuts and bolts at Autojumbles and by mail order and have expanded our selection ever since.
In 2010 Nooky's Nuts produced a website and with the aid of Paypal; now offering the advantage of ordering nuts and bolts with a selection of other motorcycle items online.
In 2021, we said goodbye to Calvin (Nooky) following a short battle with cancer. Many customers in the 90s thought Calvin looked like Roger De Courcey, so the nickname 'Nooky' caught on.
2022 saw Nooky's Nuts take over the remaining stock of Tri-Rest UK.
2023 Nooky's Nuts moved from Essex to Suffolk.
2024 - Started visiting Autojumbles again. December 2024 we retired the old clip-art teddy bear in favour of a Nookie Bear likeness.
Nooky's Nuts primarily deal direct with the public, however we do supply some major retail outlets around the world.
Please note that we are primarily a web-based mail order
business and we do not operate a counter sales outlet, however we are able to
offer local customers a collection facility strictly by arrangement
Orders are typically sent via Royal mail, however we also use couriers for larger orders over 2kg.
Although our prices include UK postage (on orders over £8.00), we do sell nuts and bolts to customers all over the world. Please email us for an accurate postage cost if you are based outside the UK.
Please note that we are not VAT registered, so do not charge VAT.
We are more responsive to emails than telephone calls. So please email us.
Minimum order is £8.00. Any orders less will be automatically rounded up to £8.00 to cover postage.
FREE postage on orders over £8.00; on UK orders only.

any credit or debit card.

Order £8.00 and over; UK postage is included within the price of your
order. If you are not in the UK, please email us
to ask for a postage price.
How much is postage outside the UK? - This all depends on your specific order. Every order weighs differently, therefore please email us and ask for a postage price.
How long is delivery? - All orders are sent out 2nd class. Orders should arrive 2-3 working days after sending. Please allow 3-5 working days for us to process your order.
Are your bolts; bolts or set screws? - All our 'bolts' listed on our website, with exception of screw sets, are in fact 'set screws'. Set screws are threaded to under the head. Bolts have a blank space between the head and the threaded portion of the shaft. We list our stock as 'bolts' because most customers think they want bolts, when in fact they actually want set screws.
Have your bolts got any markings on their heads? - No; all our bolts do not have any markings on their heads. All our bolts have completely plain with flat heads.
Are your nuts and bolts British made? - Yes; all our nuts and bolts are made in England, UK. Most of our other stock is made in the UK too. If in doubt, please ask. The majoriy of our cycle thread and BSF nuts are bar-turned with a single chamfer.
Why do you list 1/4" bolts as "CEI / BSCY & BSF "? - Because cycle thread (cei/bscy) and BSF are the same; 26 threads per inch (tpi). 1/4" cycle thread nuts and 1/4" BSF nuts fit our cycle thread/BSF 26 tpi bolts.
